Oct. 2 The Creative Youth Center (CYC) will share information on their amazing programs. At the CYC, kids become published authors, leading to a strong sense of identity and an enthusiasm for learning. Our programs are offered, at no cost to families, to students aged 6-18 attending Grand Rapids Public Schools or living in Grand Rapids.
Oct. 16 Connect with the Grand Rapids Fire Department Residential Safety Program. The Residential Safety Program (RSP) is a voluntary program to prevent fires. The goal is to reduce the number and severity of fires. The program offers: Fire safety checks, free smoke alarm upgrades and installations, free carbon monoxide (CO) alarm installations, one-on-one fire safety consultation, and connection to assist with fire safety issues
On Oct. 16 & 30 Grand Rapids Red Project will share their life-saving resources. Red Project is a safe place in which people can exercise their right to explore better health choices related to sexual activity and drug use, without judgement and without fear. We provide health resources, prevent the spread of disease, and save lives.


Southeast Area Farmers’ Market, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays
On Oct. 6, GRFD Residential Safety Program (RSP) will share resources at the market. The RSP is designed to reduce the number and severity of fires in Grand Rapids. The GRFD and our partners are offering free in home fire safety assessments, free smoke alarm upgrades and installations, one-on-one fire safety consultations specific to the residence and a connection with our partners to assist with fire safety issues
